2011 :: THE SHORT LIFE OF CHRIS GUEFFROY

A film by Klaus Salge
A Production of November Film in co-production with RBB, Supported by The Federal Foundation for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship

Chris Gueffroy was the last person to die whilst trying to cross the Berlin Wall. This was early 1989. Chris Gueffroy was 20 at the time of his death. His name has come to represent all those who died at the Wall. This film gives a profound impression of the horror of losing a child and a close friend to a dictatorship.

2011 / 2010 :: MIKIS THEODORAKIS. KOMPONIST

A film by Asteris Koutoulas & Klaus Salge
Eine Produktion von November Film in Co-Produktion mit ZDF / ARTE.

Mikis Theodorakis, Composer is the first film to take the musical oeuvre of the Greek composer as its principal subject. The chronologically structured documentary gives a concentrated overview of Theodorakis' nigh seven decades of artistic creation, from his ecclesiastic compositions as a young man to the operas of the nineties. The artist's extremely eventful life is depicted in its symbiotic relationship to his compositions. The film above all lets the composer have his say. Music and image speak for themselves.

2009 :: A BLOND PROVINCE. POLAND AND THE GERMAN RACIAL POLICIES

A film by Jacek Kubiak & Klaus Salge
Screenplay & Direction: Jacek Kubiak and Klaus Salge. November Film & RBB & ARTE. German - Polish award of Journalism, 2010

Only days after the German invasion of Poland in September 1939 there began a phase of the Nazi occupation that has till now gone largely unnoticed - the creation of a field laboratory for German racist policies in Poland.
”The Germans came at 2 in the morning. You've got 15 minutes. Get out, Polack.”
Heinrich Himmler and the Nazis planned in Western Poland - they called the district ”Warthegau” - a ”blond province”. A laboratory for the breeding of the ”German master race”.

2007 :: ALLES WAS RECHT IST. MOABIT, DAS GRÖSSTE KRIMINALGERICHT EUROPAS

Ein Film von Klaus Salge. Mitarbeit: Norbert Siegmund
November Film & ARD - RBB & RB

2007 :: 1990 A SMALL PIECE OF GERMANY

Production: G. Böhm - Filmproduction © Directors: J.Tschirner, L. Hohmann & K. Salge
90 min., Germany, ARD/SFB and Cinema Foundation Berlin, Prädikat ”wertvoll”

Heute liegt alles offen. (Göthe-Institut 1991)
